- [Mystery Lake Winners!](https://columbusbassmasters.net/mystery-lake-winners/): Catch of the week goes to Bob Pharris and Dan Campbell for a well deserved victory on Eastwood Lake. We did everything we could to stack the odds against them, but they still managed to pull off a dominating win with 10.87 lbs. For our mystery lake, we selected a lake that most members have never been to before and didn’t announce the location until the night before. - [TECT Dominating Season Finish](https://columbusbassmasters.net/tect-dominating-season-finish/): Karl Guegold and Branden McNamara took 1st place on the final Tuesday Evening Classic Tournament (TECT) event on Alum Creek with an impressive bag of smallmouth that weighed 21.3 lbs.  The duo also won big bass with an impressive 5.79 lb. smallmouth. Rumor has it that Karl suffered from temporary amnesia, forgetting what lures and techniques were used to sack their fish, but he has since made a full recovery.  Congratulations Karl and Branden. The end of year championship will be held on Friday, September 12th for qualifying teams.
- [ABA Championship Win](https://columbusbassmasters.net/aba-championship-win/): This past weekend (August 23 and 24), the Central Ohio division of American Bass Anglers (ABA) held the seasong ending 2 day championship on Delaware Lake. Bob Schinker finished in 1st place, falling just 1 point shy of the Angler of the Year (AOY) points race. Karl Guegold and Rich Carter finished the AOY points standing in 3rd and 4th place respectively. This years national championship will be held at Lake Efuala, October 4-10, 2025.
- [Delaware Lake - August 3, 2025](https://columbusbassmasters.net/delaware-lake-august-3-2025/): The Columbus Bassmasters wrapped up tournament number 6 of 8 as the season winds down. 13 anglers came out to compete on Delaware Lake, where the dog days of summer were in full swing. The top 4 finishers were: Bob Schinker with 1st place and big bass, followed by Bob Pharris, Kevin Fiant and Nathan Fiant claiming 3rd and 4th place finishes. We’ll see everyone at our next stop on Indian Lake on September 27th.

- [Farkus & Geer Sack 3rd Place](https://columbusbassmasters.net/farcus-geer-sack-3rd-place/): Tuesday night’s tournament at Alum Creek brought out some tough competition, with 32 boats hitting the water. Despite the pressure and a lake that didn’t give up fish easily, Joe Farcus and Sean Geer were on fish. The team landed a solid 15.08-pound limit, earning them a 3rd place finish. - [Columbus Bassmasters Boat Wash](https://columbusbassmasters.net/columbus-bassmasters-boat-wash/): After our club tournament at Rocky Fork the club fired up the solar panels and power washer for the fist “Solar Boat Wash” which turned out to be a success. Its good to have high blue skies and sunshine for an event like this but even with 45 watts of solar, a charge controller and some batteries we all seen it was enough energy to use a 1650 PSI power washer and clean all the boats in the club.  We actually hauled 100 gallons of water in the holding tank and I bet we didn’t use a third of it.  […]
- [Eco Friendly Boat Washer](https://columbusbassmasters.net/columbus-bassmasters-designs-eco-friendly-boat-washer/): Columbus Bassmasters club wanted to come up with a ECO Friendly Boat Washer that we can actually bring to some of our tournaments and wash our boats afterwards as well as others at the ramp at that time. Will Presley has a knack for coming up with these ideas as well as tools and equipment to build something along these lines. Materials Used: Our club will be taking this to Rocky Fork Lake on October 4th and test it out for the first time. Great job everyone!
